Summer blossom honey is a multi-floral honey sourced during the summer and early fall months from our apiaries in the North Yorkshire area.
During the summer and early fall, the nectar source is darker and more robust in flavour because bees forage on the golden rod, sunflower, all the variety of wildflowers, Japanese knotweed, cucumber, squash & pumpkin, Himalayan balsam, and herbs such as thyme, and lavender. Its richer colour and deeper flavour reflect the rich colours of summer.
Every batch of honey has a different colour and a different flavour depending on the majority of the flowers that were in bloom at the time of harvest.
